Sometimes, the family you need is the one you find along the way.

When Kailey and Brian’s twin daughters, May and Chloe, needed specialized care in the NICU, their family was suddenly facing a journey they never expected.

Far from home, with two babies in the hospital and a little boy named Jakey who still needed his mom and dad, they found a place where their family could stay together.

At Ronald McDonald House Missoula, they found more than a room.

They found a second family.

While May and Chloe received care in the NICU, life continued for their family at the House.
 
Grandparents and an aunt came to help. Evenings were spent around the fireplace. Jakey made friends with our staff, especially Randy, whom he affectionately called “Re Re,” and who often played his guitar during breaks.
 
And somewhere along the way, a House full of strangers became a community that felt like family.
 
It’s the kind of love and belonging that makes Ronald McDonald House Missoula so much more than a place to stay.

Every night, families arrive at our doors facing uncertainty, exhaustion and worry.
 
Your generosity gives them a place to rest, a community to lean on and the comfort of being close to their hospitalized child.
 
It costs $135 to provide one family with a room for one night. While we suggest a $25 nightly contribution from families, no one is ever turned away because of an inability to pay.
