Heman Lodging serves adult cancer patients receiving treatment through the Community Medical Center Community Cancer Care & Prevention Program who meet program eligibility requirements.
Patients must be at least 18 years old and live at least 40 miles or approximately 40 minutes from Missoula.
Yes. All stays begin with a referral from your healthcare team. Patients cannot reserve a Heman Lodging room directly.
No. A referral lets us know you need lodging, but placement depends on eligibility, treatment needs and room availability.
Heman Lodging is $45 per night, with a one-time $20 guest safety screening fee for each adult guest.
Guests may stay while they continue to meet Heman Lodging eligibility requirements and are actively receiving qualifying cancer treatment.
Because treatment plans can change, please keep our team updated about your anticipated departure date whenever possible.
Yes. Each guest room accommodates one adult patient and one registered adult caregiver.
The caregiver must complete all required registration and guest safety screening before staying.
No. Jane S. Heman Lodging is designed specifically for adult cancer patients and their adult caregivers. To help maintain a quiet, comfortable environment for patients receiving treatment, children are not permitted in the Heman Lodging area.
To protect the health, privacy and comfort of patients receiving cancer treatment, visitors are not permitted in Heman Lodging.
Each room is reserved for the registered patient and, when needed, one registered adult caregiver.
No. Pets and other animals are not permitted in Heman Lodging or in vehicles on Ronald McDonald House Missoula property.
Trained service animals are permitted in accordance with applicable law. Please let our team know before your arrival if you will be accompanied by a service animal.
Guests are responsible for providing and preparing their own meals.
Heman Lodging includes a shared kitchen and dining area, designated food storage and a small refrigerator in each guest room for water and medications.
Yes. Laundry facilities are available for Heman Lodging guests.
To help maintain a quiet environment for everyone, we ask that laundry be done between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
Quiet hours are observed daily from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. so patients have a peaceful environment to rest and recover.
We ask that noise be kept to a minimum throughout the Heman Lodging area during these hours.
Yes. Guests are expected to keep their private guest room and shared Heman Lodging spaces clean and tidy throughout their stay.
Cleaning supplies are available, and our team is happy to help if you need supplies or notice something that needs attention.
Jane S. Heman Lodging provides lodging and is not a medical or assisted-care facility.
Guests must be able to independently manage their personal and medical needs or have an adult caregiver staying with them who can provide the assistance they require.
If you begin to need additional help with personal or medical care during your stay, please talk with your healthcare team and let our staff know.
Because other guests receiving cancer treatment may be especially vulnerable to illness, please notify our team immediately if you or your caregiver develop symptoms of a contagious illness.

Ronald McDonald House Missoula is a smoke and vape free property. Smoking, vaping, marijuana, and tobacco or nicotine products are not permitted inside Heman Lodging or anywhere on Ronald McDonald House Missoula property.
No. Alcohol and illegal drugs are not permitted anywhere on Ronald McDonald House Missoula property.
All guests receive complete Jane S. Heman Lodging Guest Guidelines as part of the registration and check-in process. These include additional information about safety, medical waste, keys, property, shared spaces and other expectations during your stay.
